Nottinghamshire Overview

2014 has seen some important changes at Countrywide’s Nottinghamshire branch. Newly appointed Regional Manager, Bob Sturzaker, is confident about building on the branch’s  good reputation across the entire county.

Coming from a career in the construction industry, Bob is no stranger to dealing with demanding projects and knows the benefits of a well-trained and engaged  team of grounds people. Countrywide Grounds Maintenance Nottingham will continue to provide its well-regarded services while expanding and adapting to meet the changing needs of new and existing customers.

“We are flexible to customers’ needs, but our primary activities include grass cutting, shaping and trimming of shrubs, borders and hedges, as well as litter-picking and tree work,” says Bob. “We also provide a gritting service to help ensure our clients’ car parks and paths remain safe in the winter months.”

Currently, Bob and his team are working with over 20 local schools, making sure playing fields and car parks are maintained to the highest standards. Such is the care taken that one of these schools –  Greenfields Community School –  was awarded an East Midlands in Bloom Award for their grounds! Typical duties for schools and public spaces include grass cutting and weed control, as well as line-marking and maintaining artificial pitches and erecting goal posts.

Notable projects range from maintaining the grounds of a private residential estate that lies within the larger Clifton Hall Estate, to tending to playing fields, grass verges and other grassed areas for Lowdham Parish council.

Healthcare centres are also catered to, as are care homes and crematoria, for which we often provide additional gardening duties in order to maintain a peaceful, uncluttered environment.

With a skilled and reliable workforce, Bob and his team’s goal is to help maintain the natural beauty that Nottinghamshire is rightly famous for.
